			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was pleasantly surprised today when I logged into the control panel for my blog to find a notification for the release of Wordpress 2.8 Seeing it was a decimal upgrade I decided to have a look and see what 2.8 brought to the table.</p>

<p>Apparently 2.8 is now quite a lot faster than previous versions but the new feature that appeals most to me is the addition of syntax highlighting in the dashboard theme and plugin editor. Syntax highlighting to me makes coding a lot easier.</p>

<p>Whats more wordpress now has seamless upgrades. Gone are the days of manual upgrades. One click now seems to suffice to do everything it needs to do.</p>

<p>Looks like wordpress is certainly making gains still. Let&#8217;s hope they keep it up!</p>
